When you open your leaderboard in the Numerik app, for most users the default column will be REVENUE and this will rank your leaderboard from highest revenue to lowest revenue.

For Sales Managers this would normally be your Sales reps listed from highest to lowest, for Sales Reps this would normally be your customers listed from highest to lowest for the current period.

Now you can set your own default metric so that when you open your leaderboard, your chosen metric will display.

Here's some of the metrics you can choose to display first on your leaderboard:

  • Revenue last year (revenue for the same period last year)

  • Revenue swing $ ($ increase/decrease in revenue this year vs. last year)

  • Revenue swing % (% increase/decrease in revenue this year vs. last year

  • Last period (total revenue for the full last period)

  • Forecast (the forecasted revenue for the period)

  • Target % (how much of the target revenue have they achieved)

  • Target delta (how far off the target they are currently)

  • Target $ (the overall target for each item)

  • Paceline Delta (how far off the pace are they)

How to change your default metric on an existing target

You can do this either via the Numerik mobile or desktop version:

MOBILE

When you are on the leaderboard view on mobile, navigate to the INFO tab as seen below.

On this page you will see an EDIT button which you can click:

This will take you through to the target setup screen. Scroll down until you find the DEFAULT TRACKED METRIC option. Click the blue box which says "Default" and change this to the metric you would like to start with each time you open your targets.

Click DONE and now your new default has been selected next time you open this target in Numerik!

DESKTOP

Navigate your way to the scorecard view on Numerik desktop by logging into app.numerik.ly and selecting the target period you want to change.

On the right hand side of the screen you will see the below ⚙️ symbol, click on this:

This will open a side bar up where you can see the option to change the DEFAULT TRACKED METHOD:

Select the metric you would like to see by default, and click DONE. Next time your team open this scorecard on the mobile app the default metric will have changed.

How to setup a new target with a different default metric

You can also now select a customized default metric for your team when you set up a new target. Please note not all users will have access to do this!

MOBILE

On the Numerik home page where you can see all of your existing targets, you can click the New Target button:

For those familiar with setting up targets, there is a new option to change the default tracked metric to something other than revenue.

DESKTOP

On the Numerik home page where you can see all your existing targets, you can click on the ➕ symbol in the top right hand corner to create a new target.

This will take you through to a new page with New Target listed at the top. On the right hand side of the screen you will see a ⚙️ symbol - click this.

This is where you can specify all the target requirements (target amount, dates, allocations etc). You can also change whether the target will track revenue, quantity or gross profit. If you are looking at a measuring your target by quantity or gross profit then it makes perfect sense for your default to match this as well!

You will also see the Default Tracked Metric which you can select.

Here's an example where this can be really powerful. Your wanting to promote a product range and wanting to measure the number of units that you are selling in February. You want to incentivise your sales team to focus on this product group, and so you set up a Numerik target to track the performance of the team. You've got a goal in mind in terms of units sold so you set this as your quantity target. You can set the default tracked metric to quantity or quantity swing so that your reps will open this target and see straight away their performance!

That's all for now on default tracked metrics. If you have any questions or issues regarding setting this up for your business, please contact support@numerik.ly.
