Welcome to Numerik! This is a guide to the basics of navigating your way around the app as a first time user!
TABLE OF CONTENTS
1. Menu
In the Numerik app, when you login with your login ID and password, the first page you enter is called the "Landing page". This page gives you easy access to our most loved and used features and this will be where you spend the majority of your time as you begin to use Numerik. Clicking on any of the icons will take you to the desired page.
You can access the menu by tapping the Numerik logo in the top left of the screen. A purple bar will appear with all the options in the menu. You can tap on any of the menu options to be taken to that screen in Numerik, or to close the menu, tap on the far-right hand side of the screen (to the right of the purple menu screen).
2. Scorecards - are you hitting your target?
The page that appears when you click on the scorecards in Landing Page on Numerik app is the scorecard view. On here you will see your sales targets listed, broken down into annual, quarterly and monthly targets depending on how your company targets are structured. For each target you'll see:
Your performance so far this month/quarter/year (REVENUE)
Your target for this month/quarter/year (TARGET)
Your current performance against the target known as PACELINE (refer to this article on PACELINE for more details).
You can also use the toggle to choose your view to show your performance vs Target or Vs Last Year (refer to this article for details on Scorecard).
You can click any of these targets to see a breakdown of performance by customer, by product, and by various other options we have.
ACTION: Tap a scorecard on your Numerik app to look at this target in more detail.
If you do not see any targets like in the screenshot below, please send us a message by clicking the N logo in the top left of the screen, select Support from the menu and then click "Send us a message".
3. Leaderboard - breaking down your performance
Now you've tapped on a target and have moved through to a new screen which will show you a breakdown of your target displayed on a leaderboard and what they have purchased so far this month/quarter/year. The leaderboard will rank your customers from highest to lowest, and will display in green or in red on the leaderboard.
The green and the red are a quick visual to show you whether this sales figure is higher or lower than the same period last year:
If a customer is in GREEN, they have spent MORE this year than they did in the same period last year.
If a customer is in RED, they have spent LESS this year than they did in the same period last year.
This is a like-for-like comparison, so if you are 10 days through the month this will make a comparison to the same 10 days of the month from the previous year!
You can see this in more detail by clicking on the small dotted line on any of the customer's names as below:
There's 3 variables you can change on the leaderboard:
At the top of the screen in the blue box, you can change the month you are looking at.
You can change the type of LEADERBOARD ▼ that is being displayed, so rather than displaying customers you could look at product group, territory, brand etc and how they are performing for the current period.
You can change the metric, so rather than displaying ▼ REVENUE on the leaderboard, you could look at gross profit, you could look at the target, you could look at the growth or decline!
We'll cover how you can start to use these variables in due course.
4. Revenue stream - watching your live sales come in
You can see your live sales come in via the Revenue button which is available in the Numerik menu (click on the N in the top left corner). This will take you through to a screen like below, where your customers most recent sales will be listed.
On this page, you can click any of the customer's names or $ amounts to see a summary of the invoice:
We recommend checking your revenue stream each day to see your customer's sales coming through!
If you want to display only large invoices (eg: over $500) you can set a filter in the top right hand corner:
Type a number into the Threshold box and click APPLY. You'll now just be able to see invoices over this value!
CONGRATULATIONS - you've finished the first module of Working Numerikly.
