Uploading or adjusting Targets in Numerik is a pretty straight-forward task, whether your business want to go via hybrid allocation route (customer or product group level) or want to apply a percentage growth - the step-by-step processes can be found in the sections below.

To set allocations at product group or customer level -

Create a new scorecard or click on settings icon on the existing scorecard. Change the scorecards settings and select > Inherit from Allocation Total > Hybrid allocation or allocate by customer for customer level allocations and click save.

Next step is to select either Hybrid Allocation (customer level product group allocations) or Hybrid Product Group Allocation from the hidden menu next to 'Target Tracking'

This will allow users to either go through each customer or product group and update product group allocations manually or upload them using the upload icon.

Option 1 - Uploading the product group level allocations in Numerik.

The allocations either containing overall figures or growth percentage applied at either customer or product group level can be uploaded first in Numerik. These allocations can either be locked after uploading or reps can be allowed to go through their product group or customer level allocations and make any adjustments if required.

To upload the allocations an upload file icon is given on the right hand side of the screen.

The format of the upload file must contain - Customer code, product group ID and allocation amount for product group allocations.

Option 2 - Uploading customer level allocations

A similar process works for customer level allocations in Numerik. Make sure to choose 'Allocate by customer' option in the scorecard setting and hit save.

The hidden menu will now give you an option to select customer allocations in Numerik.

A file can be uploaded at this point using the upload icon. Make sure the file contains following headers.

Option 3 - Hybrid Allocation (Rep updating their allocations).

Either the allocations are being uploaded as a file or not, reps can go through each product group or customer to enter or update their allocations. This exercise is good as a group company budgeting session where all the reps can give inputs into their allocations and sales representatives actively contribute to the budgeting process by allocating amounts to their customers or product group level based on their interactions and insights. For reps managing extensive customer lists, a portion of targets can be profiled based on last year's spend or copy & paste from the useful historical columns or they can go through the uploaded allocations and update or adjust based on their knowledge, ensuring a balanced and collaborative approach. This empowers reps with a sense of ownership and encourages meaningful discussions with customers, fostering stronger relationships.

Hybrid Product Group allocation is for whether the company places more importance on product group targets than customer targets. You can filter on a product group and allocate to each customer that way.

The hybrid approach facilitates dynamic discussions within the management team, allowing targets to be adjusted in real-time based on ongoing conversations, ensuring adaptability and responsiveness.

To copy and paste data from previous years columns, click on the three lines (burger menu) next to targets and choose paste data from another column.

This will provide a base to the current allocations/target column (taking care of the tail customers).

Once the base allocations are entered into the target column either via uploading or pasting from another column, the sales reps can then go through the top customers and update their allocations based on their knowledge.

The sales team is ideally given a few weeks/months' time to finalise their allocation amounts before the targets are locked in Numerik.

Presentation View -

During the budgeting session or allocation period, managers can visualise the allocations building up per rep using the presentation view in Numerik. This provides as a highly efficient view that helps management visualise the budgeting progress of each rep as well as building the budget for full company.ย
